Barbara Warnock presented for us, a Stuart McLean reading called “Sourdough”. I will remember this reading every time I have a sourdough bread sandwich. Barbara did a terrific job telling the story. Posting the reading to YouTube would break copyright, so I am not doing that. We have a great posting to share; the thank you notes from the Music Festival participants! They are posted in the menu of http://rotarystthomas.org: Music Festival/Previous Music Festivals/2020 Photos and Music Festival Thank You notes/2020 Thank You Notes. We should be proud of how far our club has reached into the local community! Next Wednesday, June 24th at 12:15 PM, we will be conducting our changeover meeting. As usual, participants can access Zoom up to 15 minutes earlier. We will be installing the Board and inducting Catharine Janssen. Please wait to receive your Zoom meeting notification. Our summer meetings are set for 8, 22 July, and 12, 26 August. We hope to resume in person in September. We briefly shared with each other, who we will be in our personal COVID-19 hugging “bubble” of 10 people. Nancy said she feels like she is back in grade 5, trying to stay in her clique. Adriana is making no changes to her “bubble”. The Wayside patio is open now; as you can see from the above photo Maggie is our visitor for today. She and Bill are dining at the Wayside today. Nick is celebrating 45 years at the helm of the Wayside Dining Lounge. Sorry, we all could not be there for that! |
