6Sept21- Praises for the Discovery Tour/ give prizes
The meeting opened with the Bell, then President Barbara turned the meeting over to Catharine Janssen, President of the Discovery Tour Committee.

The club earned $5000 net from the Tour. There was a strong message to proceed with the tour next year. Comments will be compiled then reviewed. Ron hatched the idea of the tour 6 or more months ago. Catharine was awestruck by the energy that blossomed from the beginning of planning and actioning, especially as the way was in darkness. No other group has done this kind of fundraising project.

Gerry has assembled 200+ pics contributed from the Photo Contest. He will first reduce the entries down to 60 (5per person), then down to the 5 prizes. Ron will write the rules and Gerry, Ron Bill will decide top 5 (Photos to follow in next Rotaserver)

The quiz sheets were marked; 5 were perfect; 5 prizes will be awarded as follows: Brian Callihoo,Jeanette Kilduff, Dave McGonegal, Carolyn Lapare, Annette Sbarra.

The Discovery Tour 50/50 draw was won by John Bole.

The following tickets were drawn randomly for 24 prizes and owners presented with their prize:
Dave Mathers, Shelby Smith, Chris Murphy, Ethel dela Penotiere, Suzanne Ferguson, Tracy Ruv, Jessica Santos, Rhonda McNaughton, Jennifer Querton, Larry Sintzel, Raj Patel, Mr Vandermark,
Dale Wilcox, Bob Radtke, Janice Monty-Balsden, Robert Heil, Daryle West, David Anstee, Janice White, Martin and Nancy Holmes, Betty Rhewbotham, Susan Williamson, Gord Day, Beth Beecroft. See picture below of club members picking winners:

The picture below shows club members selling tickets for tour and taking donations at the Horton Market.

The club then moved on to weekly 50/50 draw (Won by Pat, first time this year).
