HAND UP not HAND OUT

“Without water the children and elderly die. Without food we all die”

For the past 24 years Rotarians have been Making a Difference for the people of Cameroon with projects they design and that are sustainable.  Potable water has been brought to 100 communities benefiting nearly 300K people.  Agricultural projects have brought livestock, seeds, grinding mills and helped develop local cooperatives.  Schools have solar power and cell phones can be recharged. Ventilated Improved Pits (VIP) have been constructed together with handwashing stations.  Education projects are being developed for women and children. A Canadian donation of $10K with DDF and TRF grant can result in $35K to use in the project.  Pat has now visited Cameroon 3 times and was warmly thanked for her talk by Pat Martyn.
